LandWatch Announces Paula Lotz as Associate Director

Paula LotzSALINAS, CA, July 23, 2007 -- LandWatch Monterey County is pleased to announce the appointment of Paula Lotz as its new Associate Director.

Hired in 2005 as the LandWatch Strategic Communications Manager, Lotz took a leave of absence to serve as Campaign Manager for the Community General Plan Initiative. She has lived in Monterey County since 1997 and is a director of the Carmel Valley Association.

“We are very excited to have Paula as our Associate Director," said Michael DeLapa, LandWatch President, "She has a wealth of experience with community issues and land use, and is extremely enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and pragmatic.”

Lotz is the former owner of a recruiting company specializing in executive and technical placements in the electronic design industry. She has been active and involved in many aspects of land use, including participating in the general plan update process and serving as the Vice President for land use with the Carmel Valley Association (CVA). She helped facilitate the workshops that resulted in the collaboration of 18 organizations to develop the Community General Plan.

“Landwatch is a great place for me to be right now,” said Lotz. “I will be supporting and monitoring the General Plan process, working with community leaders and elected officials, and building the LandWatch organization throughout Monterey County. I’m especially happy to continue working with a growing community of LandWatch supporters and members who care deeply about the future of Monterey County.”
