LandWatch Monterey County Invites you to a Seminar:
"Public Participation and the Planning Process"

Seminar led by Rick Cole, City Manager of Azusa

* Rick Cole has been called "one of Southern California's most visionary planning thinkers" by the Los Angeles Times. A former Mayor of Pasadena and California Director of the Local Government Commission, he has been a champion of New Urbanism and Traditional Neighborhood Design.

* Inspiring enthusiastic public participation in the planning process has been a hallmark of Rick Cole's professional career, both as an elected official and a city manager.

Gary Patton of LandWatch will introduce Cole, with whom he worked on the Local Government Commission. LandWatch also will introduce a "draft release" of a new publication:

* Land Use and the General Plan: a Best Policies Guidebook.
