Meet Our Summer 2002 Interns

Mary Cain

A native of the Monterey Peninsula, Mary received her B.A. in English cum laude from U.C.L.A. and was an educator prior to attending law school. Mary is passionate about learning the law and protecting the environment. She runs long-distance and enjoys live music, sushi and homemade Italian cooking!

Carolina Morgan

Carolina received her B.S. in Earth System Science from California State University Monterey Bay, and is currently working towards a Master’s degree in Environmental Management at UC Santa Barbara. Carolina’s main interest is environmental planning, land use policy, and community collaboration for smarter growth. This summer she will be updating the State of Monterey County Report and will collaborate with the Líderes Comunitarios de Salinas. She enjoys traveling, international foods and outside activities.

LandWatch's mission is to protect Monterey County's future by addressing climate change, community health, and social inequities in housing and infrastructure. By encouraging greater public participation in planning, we connect people to government, address human needs and inspire conservation of natural resources.
